If you support locally produced renewable energy for one or more of the following reasons, please consider submitting a statement of support:
- Economic Growth: Solar projects generate new local jobs and help improve the local economy and small businesses.
- Community Investment: Michigan communities would benefit from new local tax revenue each year which could provide funding for critical initiatives, such as local schools, roads, and public safety.
- Private Property Rights: Landowners have the right to lease their own private land.
- Energy Independence: An “all of the above” approach to energy production ensures Michigan is more energy independent.I believe that renewable energy is an important investment in our state’s future. I support its implementation for the betterment of our community.
